A former teacher, Lois Donovan is the author of two Young Adult, time-travel historical novels. In addition to reading and writing, Lois enjoys sharing her passion for Canada’s stories, and her love of writing at schools, conferences and conventions.

Natasha Deen writes for kids, teens and adults and believes the world is changed one story at a time. As a Guyanese-Canadian whose family immigrated to Canada, she’s seen first-hand how stories have the power to shape the world. Natasha is an active member of YABS but not touring regularly. She is open to special requests on a case-by-case basis.
Nhung is a physician, author, mother of three, and an advocate for social justice in education. She is offering virtual and in-person half day bookings, but availability may be limited.
Nicole is the author of fourteen SF and fantasy books for young adults. She lives with her family in Edmonton and it is physically impossible for her to go more than three days in a row without writing. Nicole is currently a non-touring member with YABS. As a child of immigrants, Rita Feutl didn’t learn English until she started school. That’s also where she discovered books and the wonder of stories. She wrote her first one when she was seven. Rita is available for in-person Taleblazers bookings and is open to travel.
Born and raised in the Arctic, Robert was struck by how little most Canadians actually know about this amazing region of their own country. His first novel, Napachee, was inspired by the desire to teach young people more about the Arctic in an entertaining but realistic fashion. Rob offers both virtual and in-person sessions and his available beginning in mid-October 2025. Experience first hand a seven foot narwhal tusk, walrus skull, beadwork, carvings, harpoons and much, much, more!!!
Shea Proulx is a Calgary author illustrator who creates picture-books that bridge generations, where visual narratives steal the show. Shea is offering both in-person and online sessions. She is open to travel but may have limited availability due to prior commitments.
